Community Food Drive



Local food drive to support the Central IL Food Bank in assisting the counties we serve in Christian, Montgomery, and Sangamon



AFSMCE Local 2600 is doing our part to support the community we serve. We are hosting a food drive from November 14th until December 5th. Our goal is to collect at least 500 pounds of food! We will collect food in our office as well as 5th Street Gem. Donations will also be collected by certified stewards and MAT leaders of our local. Please considering donating and volunteering.


Please also support local or employee-owned grocery stores like Hy-Vee and Humphry's Market. Additionally, please support our local unionized grocery store Schnuck's (On Sangamon and Montvale)!





Please call or email the local to donate. We are accepting volunteers to assist in delivering items. Additionally, the food bank is seeking volunteers for 11/24/25 food drop. Please contact the local to sign up as a volunteer.



STEWARD OF THE YEAR CEREMONY



Celebration to honor certified stewards of Local 2600



This year we are honoring our stewards in a separate ceremony. We will have a catered buffet with awards, entertainment, food, and drinks! Please register via the QR code. Stewards are free to the celebration but guest over 21 years old are welcome for a fee of $15.00. Please be sure o nominated a fellow steward for recongistion.
